Introduction
The ZUTRAN™ Range includes oral and injectable formulations containing Tranexamic Acid, an antifibrinolytic agent that prevents the breakdown of blood clots. It is highly effective in managing menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding), post-surgical bleeding, trauma-related hemorrhage, and dental procedures.
Available Variants:
- ZUTRAN-250: Tranexamic Acid 250 mg Tablet
- ZUTRAN-500: Tranexamic Acid 500 mg Tablet
- ZUTRAN-M: Tranexamic Acid 500 mg + Mefenamic Acid 250 mg Tablet
- ZUTRAN Injection: Tranexamic Acid 100 mg/ml (5 x 5 ml Vials)

Dosage & Administration
Tablets:
- ZUTRAN-250 / 500: 2–3 times daily, as prescribed
- ZUTRAN-M: 1 tablet up to 3 times daily during menstrual period
Injection:
- ZUTRAN Injection (100 mg/ml):
- IV slow injection or infusion
- Dosage varies per clinical condition and physician’s recommendation
To be administered under medical supervision
Precautions & Warnings
Not for use in patients with active thromboembolic disease
Use with caution in renal impairment
May cause nausea, headache, or muscle cramps
